Back pain & Lumbago

This is the most common complaint treated by osteopaths. Research shows that 60% of the UK’s population will suffer with back pain at sometime in their life. Back pain responds well to osteopathic treatment.
Lumbago is a term often uses to describe back pain. It is not a condition in itself.
Back pain can be caused by

• Poor posture
• Stress
• Over use and repetitive injury
• Arthritis
• Ligament strain
• Disc injury

Back problems can lead to symptoms in other areas due to irritation of the spinal nerves, such as sciatica.
